Designed for the Tamiya Sand Scorcher, this high-detail scale engine adds the distinctive flat-four look that completes a classic Baja build.

What’s New with the Mk3?

Unlike the previous Mk1 and Mk2 engines, the Mk3 features a new single carburettor and centrally positioned air filter, giving your Baja build a fresh engine layout and a distinctive rear-end look.

Whether you’re building a period-inspired desert racer, restoring a favourite Sand Scorcher or creating something entirely your own, this engine adds character and detail that reward a closer look.

Important Fitment Information

Body modification is required. Due to the centrally positioned air filter, the rear of the Tamiya Sand Scorcher body will need to be modified to provide clearance and fit the Mk3 engine.
